Below are some basic tips helping to make your website search engine friendly
• Web page should load fast. It can done by keeping less use of graphics, flash elements, Splitting long webpage into small webpages targeting per topic/subtopic and placing CSS & JS code in external files
• Place proper Title, Meta and ALT tags for each webpage. Tags can have keywords or keyphrases focusing as per webpage. Tags framed should make sense to end users & to search engines as well.
• Anchor text of hyperlinks can have targeted keywords, but it should not be misleading, when user is directed to a landing page.
• All text and links are to be easily readable with naked eyes.
• Site should have a proper hierarchy & navigation, again indexable. A sitemap page will surely help
