Search engine friendly website doesn’t mean designing website for search engines. It’s got to be for end users and always to be. Below are some basic tips helping to make your website search engine friendly
• Web page should load fast. It can done by keeping less use of graphics, flash elements, Splitting long webpage into small webpages targeting per topic/subtopic and placing CSS & JS code in external files
• Place proper Title, Meta and ALT tags for each webpage. Tags can have keywords or keyphrases focusing as per webpage. Tags framed should make sense to end users & to search engines as well.
• Anchor text of hyperlinks can have targeted keywords, but it should not be misleading, when user is directed to a landing page.
• All text and links are to be easily readable with naked eyes.
• Site should have a proper hierarchy & navigation, again indexable. A sitemap page will surely help
